Detection and Focused Imaging of Moving Objects Evaluating a Sequence of Single–look Sar Images *
نویسنده
چکیده
In multilook synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images moving objects appear defocused when their azimuth velocity component is non–zero. Therefore, they are difficult to detect in such images unless the azimuth velocity component has been compensated. Here, a method for detection of arbitrarily moving ground–based objects and for estimation and compensation of the azimuth velocity component is presented, which is based on evaluation of the temporal correlation in a sequence of single–look SAR images. These images are processed using different look center frequencies and therefore show the ground at different look angles and at different times. Thus, the velocities of the objects can be estimated by tracking the moving objects from image to image. Afterwards, the azimuth velocity component of the objects is compensated. By superimposing the compensated single–look images, a high quality multilook image with focused moving objects is obtained. The achieved absolute relative error of the azimuth velocity component is less than 11 %.

Estimation of Velocity, Shape, and Position of Moving Objects with Sar *
In synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, moving objects appear defocused or at wrong positions, depending on the direction of their motion. In order to get a correct and focused image of the moving objects, it is necessary to know the real positions and velocities of the objects. Here, a method for detection of arbitrarily moving ground–based objects and for estimation of their velocities, sha...

Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (Pol.-SAR) allows us to implement the recognition and classification of radar targets. This article investigates the arrangement of scatterers by SAR data and proposes a new Look-up Table of Region (LTR). This look-up table is based on the combination of (entropy H/Anisotropy A) and (Anisotropy A/scattering mechanism α), which has not been reported up now. ...

superimposed by real clutter data with a signal–to–clutter ratio of 0 dB are used. The platform velocity is 300 km/h or 83 m/s. All moving objects with a minimum azimuth velocity component of 10 km/h are detected even if they move in direct neighborhood to a strong stationary scatterer. At smaller velocities the detection probability decreases slightly. The false alarm rate is about 2 %. The ma...

Introduction: Radiation imaging is one of the applicable methods in diagnostic medicine and nondestructive testing for industrial applications. In nondestructive 3D imaging, in addition to the radiation source, there is a requirement for a suitable detection system, data acquisition system, mechanical sections for moving objects, reconstruction algorithm and finally a computer for processing an...

This paper presents a novel technique to detect ships and estimate their velocities. The technique takes advantage of two existing techniques and inserts some innovation by using the Radon Transform to detect the ship wake and estimate the range velocity component. For detection, cross correlation of split-look is used. To estimate the azimuth velocity component a sequence of single-look SAR im...
